tonya is right (:shakesfist:)

it would be stupid to worry too much about early april losses to those pitchers. i mean if this trend continues all season, eff me, but hey we might be just fine

At this point, I want to see how long he can go without getting a hit.

I think people are also completely overlooking the fact that Gordon is a better defensive third baseman than Moose, as well.

His 14 errors in his last 59 games at third, and the fact that he hasn't played there at all in the last three years say that that is total bullshit.  If you want to talk dWAR and Range Factor or some other imperfect defensive metrics we can, but however you slice it, Moustakas is a better defensive 3B than Gordon.

I'm not suggesting taking Billy out of the lineup.

Also we did not get beat by the good pitchers; our bullpen fell apart, which is one thing i am actually not worried about. We had a chance to win all of those games, and our starters were every bit as good as their opponents.

Infante did not suffer a concision, that's good.

Gordon did have a very rough 2009.

Yes it is good.

Right, but our starters only gave up 1 run in each of the two losses that you mentioned. My point is our starters are every bit as good as the competition they faced, and our bullpen fell apart. My hypothesis is that the bullpen falling apart is an anomaly and is not a major concern as the season goes along. I could be wrong of course.

Amazing! Infante just got 6 stitches and a sprained right jaw from the impact on the left side. Could be ready to go in 48 hours.  :D Although, when I took a fastball to the nose and broke it, it took me a good couple of months before I felt comfortable in the box again.  :ohno:

Turning into a dumbass outing thread. I'm fine with getting Moose out of the lineup but not at the expense of rough ridin' with our GG LF and for a guy who has struggled as a full time player his entire career. Playing Valencia more is a much better option.

Well, if we are going to lose every time our bullpen gives up at least 1 run, then I would count on about 100 losses.

Was anyone worried that Fanning would miss an opportunity to talk about himself in the baseball thread? Me too fellas, me too.

It's relevant, dumbass. Have you ever taken a fastball to the face and tried to get back in the batters box shortly after? It's going to take him some time to feel comfortable. Good grief.

took one to the temple in little league, created a bump about the size of a baseball on my head.

eff it though, rubbed some dirt on it and stayed in the game. literally couldn't put my helmet all the way down on my head.

Justin Maxwell is a career .227 hitter who struggles to hit anything but a fastball, but he deserves to prove that his good 2 months of pretty good baseball last season are the player he is.

But Billy Butler, a 28 y/o Silver Slugger winner and career .300 hitter with good RISP stats is hurting our offense. I mean what the eff.
