He's very professional, almost a "national guy sound," you did get a bit more of the home-team announcer from him. I like him. He has a great voice and seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Kietz hates Phys and Hud, which makes me like them even more. He has a problem with Phys sometimes calling the team "Kansas City" instead of "the Royals"

Thoughts on Maxwell re-sign?

Decent OBP, decent power for a corner OF. Poor defensive range. Good to keep around? Obv. small sample size with KC.

Honestly, I grew up watching them in the 90s and they won a lot. Everybody hated/hates them because they win which I find ridiculous. Also the Royals are one of the most pathetic professional sports organizations so I had/have 0 interest in rooting for a bunch of losers.

Everyone, except probably die-hard Royals and Red Sox fans were rooting for the Yankees in 1996. That team was actually really likeable, and everyone who didn't love the Braves hated Atlanta.

You remind me of my Indian friend who is a Brazilian national team fan. (Not hating. The Royals are a losery organization, but at least it's getting better)

I'm good with it. Max had some great moments in 2013. I think he'll contribute. Word also is he's a great teammate and clubhouse guy.

WTF??? How could you not like the 90s Braves? Chipper Jones, Smoltz, Glavine, Maddux, Andruw Jones, The Crime Dog, and then John Rocker in the late 90s

Brewers get Garza, a guy without a compensatory pick, at 4 years $13 a year. The price of Ervin just went down significantly. If you can sign him to 3 years at $33-36, I'd say do it yesterday. Shields is gone. 3 more years of Ervin would extend our window that much more, provided the young guys pan out.
