i'm probably deluding myself, but it seems to me that the royals are basically fine at defending and offending, it's just that they suck at pitching.
That's v weird considering they drafted pitching in the first round for basically all eternity

Singer is probably a legit #2 in most rotations so they didn't completely whiff I guess.
