oh I totally agree the fountains are a must have (and saw them in the rendos) but legitimately didn't know people cared so much about CrownVision™.

I was also surprised by the parking concerns given the relative success of whatever the downtown arena is called now.

I'm ambivalent about it. It's not stupid but it's also not some green monster/ivy covered/monument park kinda thing that must be preserved at all costs. Hell it's not even within the ballpark (hur hur) of important Royals things needed

If I remember right a big piece of the current ownership groups MO for buying the franchise was real estate development.  I get why they want a new stadium but I don't think they are going to get it. At least anytime soon.  I'm not really familiar with the revenue model for MLB, is that something you think will change anytime soon?

There's no momentum to it, and that's disappointing, but Rob Manfred has largely been a clown with stewardship of the game. Even the poorer teams like Royals make money for their owners, so they aren't pushing for an NFL-like model. Teams only grow in value. And the Dodgers/Mets/Yankees type of teams get to make the most money and win the most, so they don't want to even salary spending or anything like that.

And Sherman has largely been a fool. He underestimated the amount of losing fans would tolerate while signing up for a corporate welfare program.
