He will compete to start next year I'm guessing.

He is under an innings limit this year. Even before he was called up he had been moved from being a starter to the pen in Arkansas.

We just have no patience sometimes. Hosmer has a 2-0 count and swings at a pitch 4 inches inside. Of course he strikes out later in the AB.
