That new $ chiefs crowd really jumped off the wagon after the first couple of games. I bet cf3 was stoked about that.

this pitcher sucks complete ass, afaik, so i'd like to see the royals score about a dozen with no home runs and several mondesi bunts and bunt triples.  dyson starting is a good idea too, cf3.

If we're close to the WC I want Vargy as far away from the field as possible

We're 1 game over .500

Yes let's bench our most consistent offensive player, good plan cf3.  We're an offensive juggernaut, we don't need him.

here's one showing how his geographic proximity to the bay area is not the only reason @sys should be a Giants fan

can you imagine being a mets supporter (like chingon, say) and being forced to watch a team hit 1.3 dongs per game and only score 3.7 runs per game? wow

the answer is no, of course

his geographic proximity to the bay area is not the only reason @sys should be a Giants fan.

i'm not sure how much credit to give them for that, since their park is v. hard to home run in.  i guess they built the park, so maybe they deserve the credit.

i just went to a giants game, incidentally, there were a lot of home runs.  :frown:

you're right. away from home it's like they're throwing the sanctity of the game right into the dumpster

I loved how all season they were like "This is Familia's 36th straight save without having blown one" and every time it came across twitter I'd fall over in heap of holy laughter

sys, I heard Manfred wants a pitch clock, and to eliminate infield shifts. Your thoughts?

pitch clock is a good idea, eliminating shifts is a bad idea.  as long as they get themselves shifted during the time allowed for the pitcher (and batter, batter also should be clocked), then fine.

batter clocked? like a batter only has 1 second to swing or how does that work

Lorenzo would have to stop taking his gloves off and putting them back on in between every pitch, for example

batter gets 1 time out per at bat, same for a pitcher stepping off the rubber. also you get two pitch overs after the 4th inning to eliminate stalling for a bull pen arm to warm up.

There's already a 20 second rule for pitchers, but it's never been enforced. They're finally taking it serious this time around. What would the penalty be? A ball?
