No way we mount that rally with morales or Gordon in the lineup.

i feel like we are just watching the Omaha Storm Chasers, and somehow that is a better option than Gordo/Morales.

Got busy last night and didn't have time, so a little late but,

Posse stat of the night.....

Salvy and Paulo have 12 and 10 game hitting streaks going. Hos has hit safely in 16 of last 17 games at the K.

Ventura only has 13 K's in his last 28.2 (that covers 5 games plus today).  Walks have obviously been his #1 issue all season. Even in his games he has pitched well, he has had walks.... But the lack of strikeouts is a little troublesome lately. A 1-2 pitch and an 0-2 pitch were hit for single/3 run HR in that 2nd inning.

FYI -- Ventura had 8.56 K's per 9.0 Innings in the 32 starts from last year and early this year.

I have never complained about salvy not walking but that last strikeout was terrible

When's the last time we didn't win the first two games of a series? Like 2013?

He isn't getting K's and now the long ball is an issue too. 7 HRs allowed last 29.2
Giving up 5 HRs in 24.2 had been  his worst in a short term span

We have a historically bad starting rotation.

Ventura, since start of last year (Reg season only)

First 14 starts-- 5.19 ERA, Royals won 5 of 14 games
Next 18 starts -- 2.94 ERA, Royals won 15 of 18 games
Last 6 starts -- 7.39 ERA, Royals won 2 of 6 games (unless we rally big time)

13 good starts and 1 "MLB quality start" (in that 18 game span)
Only 5 good and 2 "MLB quality start" (in the other 20 games)

I still think Kennedy/Duffy/Volquez can be a good 1-2-3

I wasn't expecting the greatest rally in franchise history, but I had to put it in quotes earlier cause I wasn't 100% gonna concede a loss, even down 6.

Posse stat of the day.....

Whit, Eibner, and Cuthbert 10-25 with 5 RBI last 2 days in comeback wins.  3 guys not on the roster when season started.

And hats off with a great AB Drew Butera.
