It's hard to sustain and for whatever reason it just seems a little more difficult for Midwest teams to do it, I don't don't know if it's because everyone goes nuts when a great thing happens or what

Hopefully this is just some early season doldrums and they'll bust out.

Royals will replace Gore on the 25-man with someone Friday. Speculation is that they'll call up Brian Duensing from Omaha, who was many years ago a starter but has pitched almost exclusively in relief the past few years. He has a May 15 opt-out and is having a decent season at Omaha, but all in relief. Do we really need more relievers? Or is something else in the works?

Gore is one dimensional. He's already out stayed his welcome in MLB. If he wasn't playing for a contender, he probably would have never seen the show. He's adorable however and i'm happy he got some $ in his pocket. See ya in August, baby g.
