AG is hitting .275 and he's on pace for 98 runs, 177 hits, 53 doubles, and 87 rbis.  That's a very good season for all but the top players in the game.  I don't think he's really a bigtime HR type of guy with a wood bat so I'm not sure why you would be so butthurt about that stat.  Unless you're just a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) that thinks HRs are like the only worthwhile stat out there...

Yeah, Gordon is solid, but he will never be a star. Trading him a couple of years ago would have been smart, in hindsight. I don't think the Royals could get more than he's worth now, though, so they might as well just hold on to him.

re·tard·ed/ri?tärdid/

predicting results from a small sample size especially when larger data historical data sets are available for all to see

e.g. It is Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) to believe Alex Gordon's will bat .170 the rest of the season because that is his batting average in the month of May.  It is not Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) to believe Gordon will bat .250 the rest of the season because that is his lifetime batting average.

if this is Gordon's peak numbers i don't think he can be described as 'pretty damn good'.  a more descriptive phrase might be 'a mediocre left fielder'

Those are "pretty damn good" numbers.  Take a look at the league leaders from the last few years and you'll see that those numbers place him squarely in the second tier or so.  Not all-star numbers but certainly "pretty damn good" numbers.

Yeah, if there is one thing MLB history has taught us it's that the first few years of a player's career are a great benchmark for their lifetime averages.  Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

this. Plus kauffman stadium is where hrs go to die.  Gordon and butler will both be an integral part of the roylas run these next few years.  Kc will be good.  They already are pretty good.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

just a few more good hitting games and gordon might get his lifetime BA above .250  :driving:  you go alex.  reaching this landmark number might get you nominated for the royals w/ cheese hall of fame.

In all fairness, Collins didn't put any of those dudes on base originally.

The first three batters in that inning were: walk, error, HBP.

Seems like Collins has been pretty impressive so far, especially considering he's a rookie.  Guess how tall Lincecum is...

Gordon had a double and an HR.  Heck of a day.  "But, but, he totally wasn't very good during his first couple years in the bigs!!  He won't ever be any good!"

compare his height to some NBA SFs so we have an idea on how he would fair in the league, tia.

gordon seems pretty damn good.  a double and home run in the same game?  i don't follow baseball that closely but that seems pretty impressive.
