So do we get HFA or not?

I've come to realize that it doesn't matter.  We have bird poison now and his dose is lethal regardless of location.
HFA doesn't have the same appeal in 2-3-2 format. I am probably in the minority, but I'd rather have the three straight home games in the middle.

To me, getting the 1 seed is the bigger issue. I want nothing to do with Texas right now.

i agree with townie, except not about avoiding texas.  i just think it'd be really great to play the corpse of the nyy or minnesota or the angels.

it'd piss me off no end if i spend all my energy rooting for minnesota over the next 10 days, they manage to get in and win the wildcard, but then toronto ends up as the beneficiary instead of the royals.

Yeah, they must of just pulled them out. Ms. Wacky surprised me with it at the game. It was fun, Phil. People just party rocking everywhere.

I took my day from watching our  Omaha...err, Kansas City baseball team.  I think Harry Doyle said it best.... "That's all we got, 1 god damn hit"

I am glad everyone is enjoying this Division title.  It might be the highlight of this season.  We are not going to the WS getting the 2 seed.  If I'm incorrect, I will gladly post  I WAS SO WRONG in giant capital letters.

Getting the 1 seed isn't just important because of not having to play In Toronto possibly 4 games, but it's better for the ALDS too.  I want no part of Texas right now, and Texas plays well on the road and might be able to beat Toronto.   The Yankees are a bunch of punk bitches. If we can't beat them in the ALDS, we don't deserve to be in the WS.

There are 9 games left. If we can match Toronto win for win, we will have our 1 seed. If we don't, it's 2 seed playing Texas and then going to Tor for games 1-2.   Worst possible scenario.

There is no guarantee we make it to the WS as a 1 seed, but I feel our chances are a lot better.
No surprise but Tor got 5 in the 1st inning today.  That's 5 HR in 9 innings vs TB so far.  And Tor isn't gonna play their JV team after they clinch (and it's been 23 years for them too). The home field clearly means more to them than us.

we'll see if toronto has the balls to pull their starters the day after they clinch, if they ever get around to clinching.

You are not missing anything.  I just tuned in too. Typical Sept crappy starting pitching.  A team in our own division whipping our ass again.
