That's what I'm saying, that would make sense. However, Infante is signed on until 2019, so something is going to have to give soon.
Escobar will probably only be a Royal through 2017 if I had to guess.

great stats 8man. shows that after price, you've got a lot of similar options. i'd hate to see them overpay for cueto, if they can get a similar guy with a smaller name for significantly less. the houston deal gives me hope.

Innings eaters are great, but, for obvious reasons, it isn't as big a deal for the Royals as it would be for most teams.

Yeah, the new TV deal may be a game changer. Similar to NBA right now, today's long term big contract may be tomorrow's bargain.
