5 runs scored after the potential inning ending DP   :Ugh:
Only one of the runs was earned.

Coming into today the Royals had only allowed 13 unearned runs all season. They gave up 7 in one inning!

Yeah, and as I said a few days ago, we only had allowed 1 unearned run at home (and that was because of a passed ball).  Today we have now allowed 8 unearned

aren't baseball players supposed to be able to see?  i think i've heard somewhere that it's an important part of the skillset.

It's the heat, they ran out of Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches in the club house after the fifth inning.  Makes it tough on a big leaguer.

that's a great point.  yost has been too slow in d subbing dyson all year.

even if you believe his hitting will come back, you know his defense won't.  so there's no reason not to do d sub anytime after 6 or 7 with the lead.  they did it with aoki all the time, and aoki was a better defender thatn rios.

imo, if a batter is ejected in the middle of an at bat, it should be an out.  they shouldn't be able to just sub a guy in.

also, why even have Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) stats like errors and earned/unearned runs, if you aren't going to give rios an error there?  than was an easier play than several of the infield errors.

Rios is just trying to find a way for Wade to not have the best season of relief pitching in the history of baseball.

And Paulo has been silverbacking the crap out of him at the plate.
