The Wave just made its way thru The K. Last year's WS was enough to hold this losery fanbase over for 15 years.

A) the royals are bad at baseball and it makes me sad

B) I'm going to IRL kick the crap out of you at fattyfest and that should make you sad
Thanks for reminding me that I won't be at FF :frown:

that was the single dumbest play I have ever seen by Alcedes Escobar. You have a free base and stand there arguing, waiting to be tagged. And you swung, stupid, at a pitch that bounced.

check swing or no, if there's ever any doubt in his mind as to whether or not he's swung at a pitch, he should probably just always assume that's he's swung.  the probability of him having taken a pitch is statistically insignificant.

Herrera
Davis
Morales <---- the reliever
Dyson (yes, Dyson)
Madson
Volquez
Young

If your name is not on that list, you suck balls right now and need to get your crap together.

Young kinda sucks right now

This team blows!

They'd be in the playoffs if the season ended today

he's broke offensively.  the running is probably on the pitchers.  maybe, i dunno.

they've had baserunners today.  which is better than some recent games.  maybe seeing the shoreline of this slump.

Morales hits .400 with RISP. Today he leaves 4 guys on in 2 crucial at bats. Hard to get om him, cause averages even out... He isn't hitting 400 in Sept with RISP.

This funk we are in isn't fun. We have a critical 3 gm series at Minn this week.

Last year we got 2 or fewer runs 34% of the time.   With our bad stretch here, we have done it this year 18 of 53 games (34%).  However a year ago we were 3 below .500 after 53 gms.  This year 7 above.

This team isn't gonna just cruise into 92-95 wins, but getting 90+ wins is still very doable

As far as upgrading the starting pitching goes, I think guys like Cueto, Hamels and even Kazmir are going to command too much in return to really be good for the team. However, a guy like Dillon Gee could be an interesting trade target as a back end rotation guy. 29 years old, sub 4 ERA guy who just got moved to the long rotation spot in New York. He's not terribly expensive, and isn't a FA until 2017

NY likes Gee and may be pretty reluctant to move him. That, and the Royals didn't sign Medlen, who seems to be coming along well, just to go out on the market and find another starter. The Royals are now looking at Medlen to help at the big league level no later than the AS Break.
