Dyson use to be so adorable and fun to watch on the bases and now he's so predictable.  :frown:

I would think with the way our offense has been going we would try to manufacture and small ball our way to a run to take the lead early in the game after a lead off double followed by a walk.

do you wanna know how to get omar out every time?

1st pitch: throw it down the pipe. he won't swing.

2nd pitch: throw it in the dirt. he'll lunge and miss.

3rd pitch: throw it in the dirt again. lunge, miss, fooled him again shame on omar strike 3.

I get sick of Infante taking a 1st pitch fastball strike that is very hittable. Then he swings at the 2nd pitch, which is way out of the zone (usually outside or low).   He went one better this at bat, and swung at a strike 3 that even Salvy probably would have laid off of.

exactly.  lol.  agree totally.

he takes too many first pitch fastballs.... so that is the scouting report on him.   At times he is a decent 2 strike hitter, but more times that not, he doesn't hit a pitch that is "in his zone"

Guts was rolling, pitching very well.    Then pitch 11 to Moss was right down the middle.  I mean, if there was an apple just dangling over home plate, right in the middle..... that pitch would have shattered the apple.  Too bad a fast ball hitter in Moss put a good swing on it.

cant keep given up these homers Guts.  It is getting annoying

He actually swung at the first pitch fastball that was right down the pipe.

But then he swings at a pitch that almost hit him

Then Ks on a pitch that is 12 inches outside and low.   Its not like it was a slider that just broke away from him.   That ball was clearly going to be way off the plate the minute it left his hand.     Its just pathetic a non power hitter can look that bad

You, quite literally, not be any worse than Omar has been. .228/.238/.323.

The good news is that Omar is 33, and we have him for 2 more years AFTER this year at a $8mi/yr. Oh, and a $10mil 2018 team option, with a $2mil buyout (!!!!!!!!!!)

This is the worst contract DM has ever given.

i like infante, probably more than any other royals' fan does.  but he needs to just do the surgery now and see if he can ever be good again.

and then moore needs to trade rios for a second baseman.

One night Jeremy dreamed a dream.
As he was pitching for the royals with the Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed his last five games.
For each scene, he noticed scoreless innings on the board,
Scoreless innings and wins, thanks to the Lord.

After the second to last game flashed before him,
Jeremy looked back at a massacre of homeruns and bloated numbers on the board.
He noticed that at many times in that particular game,
especially with runners on base and and also every other time,
he'd given up hits and often homeruns.

This really troubled Jeremy, so he asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd pitch miracles with me.
But I noticed that against the yankees on 5/25/2015,
there were no miracles that day.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, I pitched like crap."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will pitch miracles with you again.
It's just that, on 5/25/2015, my grace shed no light upon your arm.
On that day, I had to carry some bad person across a beach.

2 weeks ago tonight, Omar was hitting .264, he had 17 rbi with 13 xtra base hits in the 34 games he had played (that is rbi every other game and better than 1 xtra base every 3rd game).  He was also 12-36 with RISP.    I can live with those numbers if he is gonna be our #9 hitter.  I would prefer to see him at .275 and OBP at .310-.320ish, but he isn't a train wreck with those first stats mentioned

Problem is, he is inconsistent and the past 2 weeks he only has 2 hits and is 0-6 with RISP and his numbers now look like crap.... which is exactly what they are
