Posse, what was our average with RISP from opening day through Saturday, and what has it been since?

We were  .309 first 42 games.  Bigger key is we were getting 9 ABs per game with RISP (8.95 to be exact).   Last 3 games and 7 Inn today, we are 3-14.  That's only 3.5 chances per game while hitting .214

And unfortunately, that looks like it will be a not so pretty Posse stat of the day :buh-bye:

Combine the info above, and add our lack of Extra base hits.   We had been ave 3.3 per game, and we have 4 in our last 4 games.   Add it all up and that's main reason why we have 5 runs in 4 games.

Last year we scored 2 or fewer runs 34% of the time.   Before this 4 gm skid, that number was only 21% this year.    That had been significant.  Instead of putting up a bad run total 1 of every 3 games, it was 1 every 5 games.

Nothing like beating the ever-loving crap out of the Royals for three games to get back into the New York Groove.

I don't know what navy blue socks to gym class wearing dweeb decided every pitch thrown past 100 was some how more dangerous or far more likely to lead to injury than pitch #99 (or #26 for that matter), but that dweeb is a rough ridin' mama's boy and 114 isn't that many pitches.

whoever the guy is, he used data.  so he convinced most rational people.

You've got to let your balls guide you through life, stats are for pussies.

This is adorable.

2 weeks ago, we entered the Thur game at 21-13.  We are still 7-5 since then, despite the 4 gm skid.
Just trying to think #GlassHalfFull.

I know Cain has struggled of late (.222 last 14 gms) and so have a few others, and some are panicking a bit..... But we did score 6 in that last game at Texas and scored 37 runs in 54 innings in those first 7 gms of home stand(only batted 5 times in rain game, didn't bat in 9th several times)

We weren't good the past 4 gms. Win the a Cubs series and get back home, where we've been pretty good this year
