You can say a lot of things about Frenchie but the dude does have a very strong arm. Don't think I would call it the strongest in baseball but it's still impressive.

That is fair. I think range is much more important than arm strngth and offense is more important than either for an OF, but he does have a really good track record for outfield assists.

I haven't watched enough of the games to gauge his range this season. It seems as if his range was greatly diminished during much of last season. How does it look this year? More similar to last year or 2011, when I thought he had decent range as a RF.

You're right though, OF assists aren't really that important when compared to range and especially offense for corner OFs. It is a great asset to an already complete player though.

His range is fine for a rightfielder, as long as he's hitting. I don't care if the RF wins a freaking Gold Glove, if he can't hit he's pretty damn worthless.

Great Q sys. How fast do you think he could throw? We already know he's accurate. But does he have the "stuff"? I bet he could throw 97 np.

I think I was watching a game earlier this year and Hud said that the White Sox tried to move Francoeur to pitcher at one point, but it just didn't work out.

It seemed odd because as far as I know, he hasn't ever been in their system, but I wasn't paying very close attention, so maybe I misheard.
