We should trade for Carlos Gonzalez instead

I like this, doubt we don't get raked though.

I meant if we're gonna take on a contract like that. I don't think we should take on money like that though

So according to KC Star sounds like Royals are realistically targeting Hunter and Santana.  They also are keeping in touch with Melky but probably out of price range.  Also mentioned a few middle-tier pitchers.  Sorry Scherzer hopefuls.   :frown:

Yup. It will be hard to love hunter after all the years of being pissed at him raking the royals but he is pretty adorbs so it shouldn't take too long

Wouldn't take long at all with another layer of swag added to our team.

Remember when Barry Bonds picked up Torii Hunter after he robbed him of a home run in that all star game?  Probably not because we were all tiny babies when that happened because Torii Hunter is super old.

You know it's too early to ask this question.  If they make the quality moves during the offseason like they did last year it's ok to assume they won't be bad at all.  One might say they might be really good.

Well I don't want to have my heart ripped out and stomped on again like they did to me in the WS so I'm going to assume they'll suck.

Interesting and logical: A source told http://MLB.com  that Billy Butler has been offered 3-year, $30 million deal, likely by Orioles

If Billy Butler has 3-year, $30M offer, as http://MLB.com  said, it isn’t from #Orioles. “Not true,” Duquette said. “Not even close.”

Take the deal, Billy. Camden is ideal for you. Your WTP will be HR power in that bandbox.

I have a source that says we're going to target Lester. C+ level source.

Yasmani Tomas?

PHOENIX – The Royals made it to the World Series as the wild card and now they just might be the wild card in the Yasmany Tomas sweepstakes.

Kansas City general manager Dayton Moore said: “We are interested in [Tomas] and other players internationally.”

But Tomas, in particular, intrigues the Royals. They need a right fielder. In the best of all worlds, the right fielder would hit in the middle of the order. And as opposed to, say, signing a qualified-offer free agent such as Melky Cabrera, the Royals would not lose their first-round pick if they were to ink Tomas ...

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Likely true. Sounds like his agent is looking for over $100 million in a multi-year deal. Doesn't quite fit the Glass compensation model.
