Hitting around 93-94 mph. That's when he's at his best. The rest could have helped!  :crossfingers:

about all the problems with duffy's mechanics that popped up at the end of the year.  the mechanics guy they talked to said he thought it was just fatigue from pitching more innings over the course of the year than he's been used to.  just wanted to see if that seemed plausible to you.

Mechanic miscues can cause extra inflamation and wear and tear overtime. It's plausible, especially with him pitching more innings than usual.

Yeah I mean your mechanics can break down during the course of the game when you get fatigued too. That's when most of your bad habits form when you are tired and not as fresh. Over the course of the season you have your off days and rest but when you pitch that much in a 6-7 month season it takes its toll.

Example of this is Verlander and Lincecum. They were both throwing upper 90's a few years ago, wear and tear on your body breaks it down and can cause poor mechanics that lead to injury. This is especially true when your body is used to pitching half as many innings a year.

So yeah, your mechanics can break down over the course of a season.

With that said, it's nothing a cortisone shot can't help with if you're not worried about his future.  :crossfingers:

Wind is really pushing the ball away from Cain toward right field. If lefties can get under some pitches today, could see some fireworks.

We're fine. Let our sluggers take some hacks in this wind.

chen is looking real good though.  maybe have to wait and see if their bullpen will let them down.

ok, that seemed a little better.  i really can't tell the difference between good pitching and bad hitting though.

Once Chen gets above 50 pitches good things will happen...
