Only been to games at wrigley, busch and the K.

Not a big fan of wrigley at all. Busch was alright, the K though  :excited:

Royals suck Chiefs suck KC sports suck.

Sporting KC sucks too because they are minor league and their new jerseys look like a nascar jumpsuit.

st louis is pretty darn nice. so is the field in arlington. kauffman is fine i guess but there isn't anything interesting or unique or standoutish about it. it's just fine. it's just there with a big p lot and unoffensive in everyway.

Oh, you mean like, the worlds largest HD LED screen?

Hosmer was added to Team USA in place of the injured Teixera. (or however it's spelled.)

http://www.royalsreview.com/2013/3/13/4099206/hochevar-to-the-bullpen-royals

Quote
According to the official Twitter of the Royals (Seriously. They are on Twitter. Who knew?) Ned Yost announced this morning that Luke Hochevar would pitch out of the bullpen at the start of the season.

I characterize this move as "semi-bold" because the bold (and correct) move would have been to release him outright. Or to not have tendered the contract in the first place. There's still an outside chance that with another couple of poor spring outings, the Royals can release him. If they release him before Opening Day, they owe him a quarter of his $4.56 million. Hey, every little bit helps.

Of course, they could trade him. Hahahaha. Sorry.

This provides some clarity in the battle for the fifth spot in the rotation. oscar Chen and Luis Mendoza are probably the front runners, but Will Smith has opened some eyes. The Royals official twitter throws Yordano Ventura's name out as a possibility, but that seems really far-fetched. Yes, he's been dominant this spring, but he still needs some seasoning.

In other roster moves, the Royals release Guillermo Moscoso this morning. This opens a spot on the 40-man roster. I figure another spot will be open when they move Danny Duffy to the 60-day DL.

I don't follow the Royals as much as I should, but when did Hoch turn to crap?  I remember he used to have a boss outing and then one where he gets destroyed in 3 innings.  Was hoping he would eventually get to being more boss and less destroyed.

Mellinger pointed out that Grienke got "straightened out" after going to the pen.  Completely different reasons for being sucky starting pitchers, but maybe?

If nothing else, he simply hurts the team less coming out of the bullpen once every 4 or 5 days than he does starting once every 4 or 5 days.

Confirms we should've released that loser and used the money elsewhere. But its a good move.

What baffles me about Hoch is that in most of his outings, he is a machine for the first time through the order, but in the 4th/5th inning they'll get 2 runners on and then he gives up five runs. Hopefully his 1-2 innings out of the pen will be machine innings.

In other awesome Royals news, this guy is living my dream.

People are paying for him to drink 3 different beers a night at the Flying Saucer in StL so he can get a plate on the wall with a KC logo and "SAFE!" -Don Denkinger put up in the Saucer right next to Busch.

Not until at least July.  After that, maybe

The 4th inning, usually.

starting to get excited for the season. Pretty bummed I will (most likely) not be in the area this summer due to an internship. Hopefully I will be near another AL Central city so I can go watch them!

He and Paulino will probably both be pitching again by June/July, but they'll have rehab starts etc so I wouldn't expect Duffy before the All Star Break, if even then.
