Anybody else think this year's Halloween was less than steller?  Nothing really horrible happened, just didn't seem quite as festive this year.  Well, there's always Thanksgiving to look forward to.  A certain person (one who's very dear to me) has been kinda down in the dumps lately, so I thought maybe a few quick observations might be in order.  One:  sometimes life isn't all peaches and cream.  How you deal with that is a window into your soul.  I personally try to focus on the good things in life, rather than the handful of negative things that my be happening.  I'm not saying start making some lemonade or anything; but the more you dwell on negatives, the harder the positives are to identify. If you sit there crying about the beer you spilled, you might not realize there's still a full keg in the next room.  Two:   As someone who has been away form the Carlos circuit awhile now, it's disturbing how much it's changed in the last year.  Alot more cliques, backstabbing, bitching, and general disagreeable-ness seem to permiate the air.  I miss the days where everyone basically got along well,  maybe some more quality time in a bar together is needed?  Hell, I don't know, maybe that's the last thing that's needed.  Well, that's all the time we have tonight, so I'll be going now.  Peace to my homie in Denver,  don't be a stranger.  JT

3. No student loan debt? Of course not. Not many people are in debt after graduating from Sky Community College
4. Since when do security clearences cost money? I don't think Leonardo Dicaprio could just go and buy a high level of clearance

Never said I was active.  I received (10 yrs ago) an 8k bonus, gi bill, gi bill kicker, and they paid off my student loans.  (Up to 40k, I think.  I didn't need it all.  Also, I later received a 2k referral bonus.). And I graduated from KSU, in 3.5 years.  I was 17 when I went to KSU, and I had AP and WSU hours transferred.  I don't feel dumb.  Do you?

Nothing here makes you seem remotely intelligent. You realize you're arguing on a college hoops team's message board on the night of said tem's big win about your merits as a human being and everyone is blatantly mocking you, correct?

And the cost of the security clearance refers to the cost that it involves the AF to run the background check.  I've heard all sorts of numbers, and they depend on which clearance level is sought.  The clearance is very valuable as you can use it as a contractor.  Those companies love to hire those with clearances, as paying for them is quite costly.  Don't know if Leo could just get one or not, but if he wanted a job in a  sensative field, he would need one.  Sadly, I don't use my clearance in the private sector, though I know many people that do.
