He definitely shouldn't have said nigga/n-word but telling someone to stop saying nigga/n-word is much different than calling someone a nigga/n-word. This isn't a fireable offense and the other TCU players defending him is proof of this. Not that white dude who played for him years ago, but the actual players on the roster now, arguing with their teammate about it.

Still doesn’t really seem the same cause Patterson was apparently responding to a question asking about what specifically the kid did to upset him.

Seems like he could’ve easily just said n-word instead, but the more I watch Last Chance U the more I understand why some people in the program might slip into that even though it really should be out of bounds.

Sweaty Gary is fine here imo. Should his sweaty ass prob have used some other word or phrase to describe it? Yeah. Big whoop tho imo. His intentions were true and just - I’m Sure of that — and that’s what really matters.
