Surprised this topic has not been brought up yet....
« on: November 11, 2010, 02:14:26 PM »
Pregame videos, sequencing of activities, line up announcements, etc.  Why have these important aspects of our "best fan experience in the country" not been analyzed yet?  I'll start.

Why do they insist on starting the Bring on the Cats song so early?  We have boring standing and clapping for like 2-4 straight minutes with nothing happening.  Should wait till like about 40 seconds before the team should come out.  I still like the song and intro ok, but it just starts too early and drags on too long.  They got the timing down much better towards the end of the year last year.  Did nobody take notes on when to start this?

Love the Last of the Mohican's song video.  I think the new video they play right before they announce the starting line up is only ok.  A little slow right before the game starts.  Would prefer faster song and faster and more exciting highlights.  Need to attend another game to remember if in game announcer voices are used for some of the highlights.  A little Gus Johnson from the Xavier game would do nicely.

Students did a GREAT job showing up the first game.  Second game not as good, but still way ahead of last year's pace.  As noted in another thread, where are the newspapers students??

I know we've only had exhibition games and more electricity will come with better games, but I had higher expectations for our pregame build up this year.  We are preseason #3 in the COUNTRY and a big time program now.  Maybe the pregame buildup people are in their exhibition season still too?

Thoughts?

As head of security Chingon, shouldn't you be giving people ocular pat downs before you clear people like purple thread for entrance?  :dunno:

Stormie has just gotten so "hard".

I think this board is more suited to analyzing something like a pregame spectacle.

GPC would just immediately jump in and start lambasting for thinking our pregame isn't the best in country because honestly, we can't possibly have any areas that need improvement.

thanks for the new title admins. Would have liked Board Weather bad person but at least it's unique. By the way, when I own this board, you are the first admin I will demote.

Is the old GPC dude who pays for your subscription going to be pissed?  You know, when you cried about having to cancel until some dumbass offered to pay your sub just so you could keep giving your gay weather updates.

What you need to improve on is newspapers.  It's been a pathetic showing so far.  Frank has taken notice and we're all disappointed in you.  Not only is it ruining the pregame atmosphere and may make our coach leave us for Miami, you also will be forevor shackled with the burden of being the students that killed our newspaper tradition.

In summation, bring the newspapers.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Quick observation.  Keep an eye on the 6 paltry broads who set up camp in front of Section 18.  Apparently, through a genius stroke of sexual discrimination, the AD has selected a fine assortment of college femmes to wear high heels and short skirts to serve liquor and nachos to the donors.  They're up parading around during every timeout.  And the band has been crammed into a small corner by the students.  I'm glad we finally have an AD who "gets it."
