Memphis is going to the Big East once Pitt goes to the Big 10. Seriously, TCU is a no-brainer to the Big 12 if Colorado leaves. Oklahoma moves to the North and competes with Texas in the Big 12 title instead of battling it out in the Big 12 South. You can take it to the bank.
sys is much smarter than you. You should listen to him.
Louisville and Memphis make absolutely no sense, especially geographically. Nice to know you cling to sys' nutsack like an in-grown nut hair, though.
Not an evaluation of sys's intelligence so much as yours.
TCU has an enrollment of less than 9000. They have a basketball team that is 11-13 in the MWC that plays in an arena that seats just over 7000.
Their football team is good, but they would not improve the conference's leverage in TV negotiations in the slightest. They can't even come close to selling out the stadium they have, so no new revenue there.
In other words sys was right on. TCU brings nothing to the table for the Big 12. They would make for a terrible addition.
Looking east makes sense, as population density is much higher in that direction. Increases leverage for TV contracts, puts Big 12 schools in front of new recruiting areas.
As for how much geographic sense it makes, WGAF?
