I actually saw people in section 16 standing up to tuck their shirts in while staring sect. 17 down. Maybe it was a bad night for all fans.

I'll tell you this. You could hear fitz's stomach growling. The student section was/is an embarrassment.

Attendance, no. Acting the way we should once we got to the game, yes. Exhibition is always gonna cause that problem. You know what really drained the students though? The "Bring On The Cats" chant that was started ten minutes early like always.

No tunnel dance sucked, too. Really liked the video right before the starting lineup, though.

For those of you who didn't make it to the game....The student section was completely full. In fact there were many games last season (big 12 included) in which less students attended. I agree that the students weren't loud and rowdy for the very "important" Exibition game against Newman, but come on. Frank said we have the best students in the country because we showed up and completely filled the student section for this game. (and also because he has to say it to keep us happy

) Altogether the attendece was over 12,000. I know all you old balls need somthing to talk about, but chill out, drink a few beers and enjoy the ride.

No the student section was pathetic when I was there. Are you serious? Asbury/Wooly? The only people there were the hardcore. I expect the hardcore to not be some rag-tag bunch of losers leading a loser parade down Loser Ave. It starts at the top. Sure, we had ref guy. But there were a number of ref guys over the years. Ref guys will be Ref guys. What I expect is for the elites to lead the revolution. I'm working with a bunch of freaking insurance salesmen and humpty dump regional sales managers. Pull your weight with Sparta. Do I have to do everything?

They started the points for the "KU/ Important game" lineup last night which is why it totally sucked (along with it being an exhibition against Newman). People who don't care about basketball (and only know there is some guy named Pullen on our team) just go to get their ticket scanned and take up space.

KK is right. Who gives a crap if it was an exhibition. It was the first real game of the season for a returning elite 8 team. It was not loud on tv at all.... Seemed like there was no excitement from the crowd. I went to Wooly exhibition games that seemed rowdier...

*Real as in not Madness in Manhattan.
