After going from smoking to chewing tobacco, you will want to go to a tobacco enema.  Seems like the next logical choice

I'm going to need some kind of brand recommendation, don't want to get the wrong kind of tobacco enema.

So, you replaced one disgusting habit with an equally and possibly more disgusting habit.  At this point it seems like your real motivation to quit is so people stop pointing out how disgusting your habits are.

No, not really. I just thought it might be easier to quit chewing tobacco than it would be to quit cigs. I was wrong, and in retrospect, this plan really had no chance of succeeding.

Switch to sunflower seeds now.

The inside of my lip gets all wrinkly when I eat too many sunflower seeds, probably better than dying at 50 though.

Well after you get sick of seeds then you quit it all for good.

and yes this helps too...

The thing is, after three days all of the nicotine is out of your system.  After that it is all in your head.

That seems like a not terrible idea, since most of my problem is an oral fixation. Quit chewing my fingernails after chewing them down to the nub for the last 23 years.

Girl I work with  :bigtoke: 's on the e-cig all day long at her desk.  She probably doesn't go 5 or 10 minutes without a hit during the day. It's apparently more addictive than the real thing... Hope it isn't killing people. Probably is though   :sdeek:

I smoked for 15 years.  I tried everything:  gums, patches, pills, anything and I always ended up back smoking 1.5 packs a day.  Finally I just put them down.  Everytime I wanted to grab a cigarette I did something else.  It took a week or two for the cravings to wear off but they do and I haven't smoked now for 8 years.

So yeah, Cats is right, just rough ridin' do it and stop making dumbass excuses to go back to it.

I heard a guy on talk radio in KC a couple weeks ago that said that it is super easy to turn all kinds of drugs into E liquid on your own and to use that in these Ecigs.  Said that it is all available on Youtube and that he thinks that this is how many ppl will be consuming a bunch of drugs in the near future and that it will look just like any other smoker dumbass when doing it.

He was some chemist guy from UMKC, FWIW.

I may or may have not used an e-cig device to smoke a non-tobacco product in an aggieville bar as recent as a week ago.

Oh, I also just stopped buying.  Like anything else... When you WANT to quit you can and will. if you don't WANT to quit you won't.  Pretty simple.  it's not like air/food/water... you can live without it.

in my early 20s I worked at a bar... I could smoke at work (while bartending). I sucked down about 2 packs a day until I was 27... messed around with quiting for a few years... then finally just made the decision to stop buying them.  I told myself... I don't smoke anymore.  Wasn't "Easy" but it was just a matter of not being weak and giving in to my craving.  Then I started feeling so much better I couldn't imagine doing it again.

I'm in the middle of quitting several bad habits, and resuming some good ones. You're right though, I'll prolly just to have to suck it up just like all the other stuff.

If I were you I would take all of the cigarettes you have and take the tip and wipe your butt with them a little bit.. then you would see if you really want one or not

Think of all the money you will save by quitting tobacco products.  You can use that for steak/booze/whatever or the other good habits you mentioned.

They should sell them pre-wiped.
