kansas city just isn't big enough and doesn't have enough money to support two football teams. if the chiefs are decent, people will just stay home, go to arrowhead and not make the hour drive into lawrence. a good chiefs team is a ku football fans nightmare.

Wow!!  I am from Liberal and that is just bringing it strong!  BTW...Western KS >>> KC.  Well, except for stuff to do like shopping, dining, concerts, sports etc.  We do have meat packing plants though!

Band nerd here.

Picture appears to be taken during pregame. You know, Before kick off. Also the sun is still up, you know before Halftime since this was a 6 p.m. kickoff.

The stadium wasn't at capacity during pregame.  The crowd started filling up towards the beginning of the 1st quarter.  Look at the picture I posted. 

So the fans showed up after kickoff and were gone halfway through the 2nd quarter? Is that something to be proud of?

You forgot to add that a prototypical KU Fan is a Kansas City native that dropped out or barely graduated from high school, became a fair weather fan, lost all their teeth, buys their KU crap at Walmart and won't even go to a KU Football game when the tickets are for free and being dropped on the highway in a 50-mile radius.

As someone with no horse in this race, but having once lived in SW Kansas for 9 years, the official ranking of SW Kansas cities.

1) Garden City - it is still a massive turd.  But they spackled it well and it looks sort of spiffy, for a turd.

2) Liberal - A regular turd, unspackled, seething, fresh and nasty.

3) Dodge City - A Mangino-sized mega turd.  Disease ridden, pulsating, buzzing with flies, and overwhelming the senses.  It is like the borg, and some will consume/co-opt all.

Hays - no thoughts.  Visited many times, but not close enough by.  Probably somewhere between Liberal and Garden City.

Thought I'd clear that up for everyone.
