Don't get me wrong, I think the Cats will be good but #3 in the country, and near-unanimous for a team that loses 3 starters (and yes Colon is addition by subtraction with what is taking his place, similar to not having to give minutes to a guy like C-Energy), including a 2nd team all-conference pg, and an athletic 3 year starter in Sutton?

One of Chicago's finest happened to while Pullen was home visiting and driving around his cousin. Pulling off an expressway, Pullen forgot to signal. When he pulled down an alley leading to his cousin's house, lights blared from the trailing police car.

Still nervous, Pullen began fidgeting for his driver's license. That wasn't necessary. Just an apology. The policeman only wanted to know how K-State fell to Butler in the West Regional finals of the NCAA Tournament.

"I get out of the car and he says, 'I had you guys to win the whole thing. How could you mess up my bracket like that? How did you guys lose?' " Pullen said. "I didn't get a ticket. It's just funny how some people just happen to be basketball fans."

There was no pressure on ksu for the ku games and one of the championship game was one of those 3. So the program choked against Butler...who was probably a better team.

Dennis is the only significant loss.  Dom was a head case who's defensive skills were vastly overrated.  Think about what we've GAINED: Spradling, Williams, Asprilla, Southwell and Wally now has experience.


The preseason hype scares me, yes, but as a program we've earned it and it is warranted.
