and that this is all a setting us up for a huge KITN? <--- first time I've ever used that phrase.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Cats will be good but #3 in the country, and near-unanimous for a team that loses 3 starters (and yes Colon is addition by subtraction with what is taking his place, similar to not having to give minutes to a guy like C-Energy), including a 2nd team all-conference pg, and an athletic 3 year starter in Sutton?

 :dunno:

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Besides Colon, Sutton was out most replaceable starter (IMO)

Or, as Pullen gratefully learned over the summer, at least recognize it.

One of Chicago's finest happened to while Pullen was home visiting and driving around his cousin. Pulling off an expressway, Pullen forgot to signal. When he pulled down an alley leading to his cousin's house, lights blared from the trailing police car.

"He got out and ran up to the car really fast," Pullen said. "I'm like, 'Oh, man.' When he ran to the car, he was like, 'Keep your hands up!' Then he looked at me, he opened my door and he said, 'Jacob Pullen. You're that bearded guy, right? From Kansas State.' "

Still nervous, Pullen began fidgeting for his driver's license. That wasn't necessary. Just an apology. The policeman only wanted to know how K-State fell to Butler in the West Regional finals of the NCAA Tournament.

"I get out of the car and he says, 'I had you guys to win the whole thing. How could you mess up my bracket like that? How did you guys lose?' " Pullen said. "I didn't get a ticket. It's just funny how some people just happen to be basketball fans."

Hopefully this year will be the exception rather than the rule for K-State and Hype.

I never use that stupid green laughy/fist-poundy emoticon guy, so I will simply settle for saying Jesus Christ I wish I could come up with posts like that.

Your program typically crumbles under pressure.  See Big 12 championship/all three KU games/Butler game.

There was no pressure on ksu for the ku games and one of the championship game was one of those 3. So the program choked against Butler...who was probably a better team.

B12CG is only valid point here.  KU and Butler had better teams than us last year.

 :dunno:

Dennis is the only significant loss.  Dom was a head case who's defensive skills were vastly overrated.  Think about what we've GAINED: Spradling, Williams, Asprilla, Southwell and Wally now has experience.

The preseason hype scares me, yes, but as a program we've earned it and it is warranted.

What have you done to earn the preseason hype?
