I continue to be surprised that so many coaches are in favor of expanding the tournament.

It's always shocking when people are in favor of things in their best interest.

I'd understand coaches who end up on the bubble every year would want to expand the tourney bu t it's pretty damn strange that Jim Boeheim does.

It's only been a couple of years since he was on the wrong side of the bubble.

Also what Limestone said.

I'm for expanding it now.  It's still not nearly as bad as football.  THere are tons of deserving teams that get hosed every year.   Like us twice.

If it extends College BB season, it can't be all that bad.

What were his opinions on "One and Done?"

I know it was good for us, but I'm not really a big fan in general.  I think it should be more like NFL you can either go pro or go to college, but if you go to college you have to stay at least 3 years.  Would make the college game of higher quality and allow the true "phenoms" like kobe, KG, LeBron etc to go league right away.  This would also improve the quality of play in the NBA.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I'd rather not suck than need the field expanded.

you can't go to the NFL straight from high school...you have to wait three years. NBA says you have to be 19 years old by a certain date in order to enter the draft...it's basically labor law to cover their ass. NCAA just needs to implement a a 2 or 3 year rule. NBA will not budge on this.

You're thinking of the MLB.

me too, but in the event, as unlikely as it is, that we are not that great, we can expand the tourney to include ourselves.

Sorry, I didn't clarify, but yes.  You have to wait 3 years after high school to go to the NFL.  Baseball is a choice of go pro or go to college for at least three years.  I think the baseball rule would do wonders for both cbb and the NBA.

A lot of coaches may also realize that expanded field probably = less chance of high-seeded teams getting beaten first/second round.

I have heard the NBA rule explained that you are not eligible until one year after you HS class graduates. This effect early grads(like Bill Walker) for three semesters rather than just one year. That is why we were able to get Bill for half a year when he came, and then the entire following year.
