People who went to Madness, was there anything worth me knowing about Myles, Sprads, SpriForThree, etc. from last night?  Basketball stuff, not dancing/adorableness.

Not really, there was no defense or any effort at all, which made it more fun than if they'd been serious. I think it was Sprads that didn't even get to the last rack in the three point contest, might have trouble with blocked shots.

Pretty sure it was Mcgruds that didn't get to the last rack but i could be wrong.

Myles and Freddy both looked really frightened when they got the ball and tried to get rid of it as if they were playing a game of hot potato.  I was really excited to see both of them play but I came away disappointed in that aspect.

Southwell seemed to be joining in the fun but still showed some skills along the way.  Looks pretty ripped already so he should be really junkyardy soon.

Sprads has a beautiful shot and took his 3-point shooting seriously.  Hadn't been on his bandwagon yet, but I liked what I saw of him and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the first game as much as Freddy now.

Curtis has obviously been working on his outside shot and it actually looks pretty good.

The scrimmage was a complete goof with no defense, traveling, double dribbling, fake football plays and the like. Total up and down the court with the goal of getting a dunk. Jake didn't even take off his long warmups.
Allowed Judge, Kelly and even H-R to show off (and alas JamSam would as well) but not the kind of exhibition Freddy would excel at.
Sprads didn't do very well in the 3-point competition or do anything noticeable in the scrimmage; didn't watch him in warmups. Russell hit a coupe of threes in the scrimmage and was hitting in warmups. Southwell looks like a player. Williams didn't stand out.
Again, have to emphasis how unstructured the scrimmage was and let-have-a-good-time approach the players brought to it. Really couldn't judge anybody's game from it.

Russell was the only real bright spot IMHO (at least what was shown last night. Which is still huge, we need a guard to step up and can play PG/SG).

Really? How exactly was he a bright spot? In the midst of everyone rough ridin' around he actually took it semi-serious.

Anyone who doesn't think JHR was the mvp last night is a rough ridin' tard and shouldn't attend one junkyard cats game.

Handles are looking better and even his dunk was pretty impressive for a guy his size.  Obviously his 3-point shooting was the crowd favorite but his overall athleticism was the real bright spot for me.

We'll see if that translates into a productive inside game though since I didn't see that he put on much weight.

it has been a while, but someone on the other site said he went from 218 last year to 240(or something like that) this year.  no clue if true.

Yeah, it all went to his thighs!

Srsly though, during the telecast when JHR sat down his thighs looked huge, which (and I could see JT starting a fight over this) is probably where you want him to gain the weight first. Would explain why when you look at him it doesn't seem like he's gained much weight at all.

it is GOOD when post players have big asses.  a lot more important to have a huge ass than to have a big upper body.

Number 5 is awesome.

Loved Dave Lewis covering the mic and asking "who's #5"? to everyone at the table and no one knew or they didn't tell him.  Felt sorry for Alex.

I'm sure the 5,000 fans that bothered to show up for a top 10 team's Midnight Madness were awfully disappointed.

yeah, but these things are really for the recruits, not the fans.  nice to get a commit from a first rounder.
