I'm not at all being sarcastic or trying to be funny when I say Carson cannot throw the ball accurately 30 yards.  No way.   Won't happen all season.  He may connect on a 20 yard bomb with 10 YAC, but never 30 yards in the air.

Beat me to it.  Brod and Harp were to only two guys capable of receiving the 30+ yrd bomb, the difference between the two players was that Brod realized Carson was never getting it there.

He just means that 11 in a row in football is roughly the equivalent of 30 in a row in basketball.
