Did not know that about small town america.

My hometown of 1,400 people had soccer but it was later replaced with flag football.  We had the Wichita Wings come to our soccer camp one year when I was really little and I got my picture with Chico Moreira, the greatest soccer player to ever play the game.

He wasn't even the best guy on the Wings named "Chico".  That would be Chico Borja.

yeah, it's stupid that they just don't call them open scrimmages.

Also, with all of the little kids playing soccer out there and the way that soccer has exploded circa 1994, why the eff aren't we better?

Small communities Inner cities just don't play soccer. There will never be a soccer Jordy Lebron

Did you actually have competitive soccer for high school (even middle school) aged kids, or was it just some pee wee after school program for grade schoolers?

So so many great soccer players from other countries come from poor areas. Maybe they aren't inner cities. But wgaf. Still similar to Lebron's situation.

What a terrible first half. Lucky to only be down 1.

We're getting massacred. 3-1 isn't telling the whole story. We could easily be down three or four.

Gorgeous run of play by Bradley, Johnson, and Gomez though.

Good god. And you expect me to go see you play these crapfests, US soccer? If you played that game in my bathroom, I'd close the door and turn on the fan.

Didn't get to watch the first half.

Second half was fun. Lots of opportunities for both teams.

this kind of sucks IMO. I think it lowers our chance to get a Hex game and it is the last game in this cycle meaning it will more than likely be a meaningless game for us.  :frown:

If we keep drawing shitty countries 0-0   :blank: then it might not be.

Canada is much much better than they have been, they have a shot at being the surprise qualifier that CONCACAF seems to always produce.

just so you know, Canada is better than any team we will be playing in this round of qualifying.
