Hairstyles
« on: October 06, 2010, 07:38:21 AM »
In the last 10 years, I have had at least 6 different hairstyles.  And considering my past job as a male model, I think I've pulled them off pretty well.  But then there are people like my dad who have had the same hairstyle for 25+ years.  Which category do you fall into and why?

I cut my hair really short, don't do anything with it, then after about 2 weeks I use a little gel to make it not look "fuzzy" then after another couple weeks I use this forming cream and I go with the ol messy look for about 3 weeks, then it gets longer and I go with a look similar to this.

Then when that starts to take me longer than 2 minutes to do my hair I cut it and go through that whole process again.

High and tight.  Slightly spikey/messy on top.  I have cut my own hair with clippers and guards for 4 years.  Been doing it this way for probably 20 so I fall into your dad's category.

KM your hair sounds incredibly elite.  What sort of products do you put in it?

I don't even want to talk about my hair situation right now. It's bleak and my better days are behind me.

at first i always had really short hair. then i had really long hair for a couple years (basically looked like a more ripped jimmy morrison rip) . since i graduated from kansas state university, in 2008, i've basically gone w/ the buzz. it's time for change though.

I say if you go more than 2-3 years with the same 'do, then it's time to change it up.  My junior year at THE Kansas State University, I didn't cut my hair all year.  My May I was looking pretty amazing!!

elite product right there. been using it for a few years as well. however, i don't do the fuzzy thing. generally do a clean look if i'm using that.

No, I'm saying when it gets long enough that it DOES get fuzzy I use that.  Go with the clean look until it gets a little bit longer until I can do the short messy look.
For Example

Maybe a little messier, couldn't find a great example.

Basically I cut my hair really short, then let it grow until its kind of gross, then cut short again.  Rinse repeat :frown:
