Beasley's New Beginning

I keep looking at Beaz' rebounds and thinking: that's not very good.  And then I look at Love's line.  Beaz is really tearing crap up now.  Last five games he's averaging like 33 pts/g and they're actually winning more than they lose.  I haven't had crap to root for since KG left town so I'm happy as hell now.  (Which means I'm actually watching NBA games again.)

Kevin Pelton of Basketball Prospectus says that Michael Beasley's red-hot shooting efficiency is bound to come to an end soon.
Pelton cites data that shows Beasley is scoring the vast majority of his points with mid-range jumpers and getting almost no buckets in the paint. He's shooting almost 43 percent from 16-to-23 feet, a number only sustainable by the best shooters in the league. Take this data with Beasley's lack of 3-pointers, blocks and assists, and we have ourselves a perfect "sell high."

Michael Beasley hit 14-of-23 shots including the game-winner with 2.3 seconds remaining for 33 points, seven rebounds, a steal, a block and two more 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Clippers.
Wow. Beasley is averaging 32.6 ppg over his last five games and his confidence is now through the roof. If you can find an owner thinking it's time to sell high, go ahead and get him. And if you own him, while he isn't likely to stay this hot all season, he's locked and loaded as the No. 1 offensive option in Minnesota, meaning he should produce all season. Yes, he's probably technically a sell-high guy, but he's not going to just stop scoring and being a workhorse for the Wolves as long as he's healthy.

Gotta admit I was pretty bummed out that I stayed up for late night Sportscenter and the entire LAC/MIN highlights were of Blake Griffin. They showed Beasley's game winner but then cut to Blake Griffin walking off the court. eff espn.

it seemed like he slimmed down during this offseason i dont think he lost a ton of pounds but he it seems like he lost some body fat. i remember in preseason he said he was doing a lot of running. coming to the timberwolves it was pretty clear kevin love would play power forward and beasley at small forward where the heat wanted him more at power forward (although he did play sf depending on the heat lineup on the floor). so he is prob trying to be a little more lean to keep up with the other 3s rather then having to bang with the 4s.

since his 42 point outburst on the 10th they have been getting him the ball more and he has been shooting more. with them winning 3 out of their last 5 games im sure they will keep looking to him. would be nice if he can get some more free throws though a lot of his points are long jumpers

-MB playing the 3 spot and the match up problems he creates
-MB's positive attitude

-Minnesota got a great deal
-wondered why OKC or LAC or some other team made a mistake by not trading for MB. 
-House not as sold as BS on Beasley's "return".
-questioned his character: not saying he's a bad guy or bad teammate just that he has some personal demons.
