A Public Call for Restraint and Brotherhood this Thursday
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:09:47 PM »
We have an opportunity as a University Community this Thursday to show the nation and our opponents the kind of classy fans that we truly are.

Is there any real risk for repercussions if you keyed an NU car or deflated their tires?  Obviously, the answer is no.  It makes me proud that despite this fact, no Husker fan will experience any such malfeasance this week.

Can you anonymously scream profanities in the faces of every NU fan you come in contact with, with out fear of retaliation because the surrounding KSU fans would pummel a mouthy Husker fan to death before security could possibly arrive?  Clearly the answer is yes….that is as certain as the sun rising tomorrow.  Should you?  Well, the question doesn't really even need to be asked…because we know that the Wildcat fans intend to extend the olive branch to our neighbors to the north for one last time.

So, please join me in our goEMAW public call for restraint and brotherhood in this, our final contest, against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

You could literally run up and kick a husker fan in the nutsack and nothing would happen to you other than everyone giving you a high five and buying all (ALL) of your drinks later that night.  Does this mean you should do it?  Absolutely not.

I've heard that dumping an entire bag of sugar into someone's gas tank will mess their car up pretty bad.  Almost zero chance you get caught doing it too.  What I'm basically saying is that everyone needs to be safe with their sugar because we don't need this happening to anyone especially Husker fans who told me earlier that your mom was a whore.

Would be a damn shame if KSU fans dump their drinks all over Husker fans after we score a T.D. or field goal.  I have a sister and brother in law who kind of like the Huskers and I will be embarrassed come Thanksgiving if they hear about this type of shenanigans and then I have to hear about it.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

What really bothers me most about that is that there is almost zero chance of justice being served....basically, they get off scott free.

Listen, do Husker fans deserve unholy beatings at your hands because of what they said about your mom/wife/kids?  Probably, but that doesn't mean you should do it.  It's much better to take the high road than bask in the glory of every single KSU fan as they buy you stuff and pat you on the back.  You will go home to a wife and kid that don't respect you for being a gigantic pussy but inside you will know you did the right thing.

Let me share a personal story with you...

When I was a freshman, a guy in my house ("frat") stole a cushman golf cart thing from facilities and ran it directly into side of a Husker sedan in the West lot.  T-boned it.  The cushman was unharmed, it had one of those brush guards on the front....the Husker sedan was a mess.  He got out of the cart and everyone was laughing an applauding.  He felt pretty good about himself at the time.  Went out in the Ville that night, and had a blast...and that was the end of it.

I don't know this for sure, but I'll bet he sometimes thinks back on that and maybe feels bad.  Maybe he doesn't.  Point is, he might.  He just might.

Look, we all know how easy it is to egg every Husker truck you see and break their windows. And have no retribution at all. None. This will also inevitably attract many hot sorority sluts in your direction, looking to only please you. But please, just don't.

Anyone remember that story about the drunk Iowa chick that got molested in the mens bathroom by a bunch of male fans from the opposing team a couple of years ago? (think they were playing Penn St.?)  Anyway, they basically raped the living hell out of her and took advantage of her drunkenness.  I'm talking fisting by two or three dudes at one time.   Surely we don't have the kind of fans that would do that to a girl right?  Or god forbid, a dude?  I mean just because this is the last time these 'Big 12 friends' will be here for like, forever,  wouldn't justify this type of action.   It's kind of disturbing just to think about...

Here's to a fisting (of nebraska chicks) less game.. :ksu:  Off the field anyway, amirite...

There's a huge problem with society these days with people taking innocent lives into their own hands, and not have to answer to anyone for what they've done. Huge, huge problem. I remember a couple years ago when a K-State fan secretly tied a rope around an innocent Husker fan's ankle while he was tailgating and minding his own business. The K-State fan hopped in his F-350 and drove around the parking lot with the Husker fan dangling behind much to the amusement of thousands of K-State tailgaters. They were all chanting his name as he drove around with beers in hand and sunglasses on looking elite. Didn't get caught at all, even though he had splatters or blood all over his truck.

I really hope that guy learned his lesson and won't do anything of the sort on Thursday. Again, he didn't get caught and that's a shame.

Having heard this story from the actual culprit, I need to amend your story just a bit Pete.  Later that night, after he got back to the frat, he had sex with a pretty girl.  What I cannot say for sure is if during that sex, he felt a twinge of totally getting away with wrecking some Husker's prize possession.  We can be certain if he hadn't trashed that loser's car, he wouldn't even have to worry about it.  And that is called a "clear conscience" bros, and worth more than being lustily cheered and celebrated like the 29th Infantry division entering Paris.

Integrity basically means doing the right thing even when no one is watching.  What does it mean that, as the saying goes, "no one is watching?"  To me is basically means that no matter what you do you won't be caught, and there will be no punishment for it whatsoever.  The question now is will you stoop to doing the wrong, albeit hilarious, thing simply because you will never, ever get caught or will you carry yourself with some integrity this Thursday?

Had a friend several years ago cut the brake lines of several NU cars. He was an experty type with cars, so he cut them just enough so they would run out on 77 north of town. Now, he got away with this scot free. I mean nobody had the slightest clue. No one. But the pain he lives with now is too much. Can't sleep sometimes because of how easy it was to not get caught.

I pledge to not break any bottles and hold it to the neck of any Husker fans, even though ManBearPig (my muscle) will be there to back me up and almost certainly leave me in no risk of retaliation.

"I" stands for initiative. Take the initiative to do the right thing even when no one else will know.

"N" stands for nurturing. Nurture others through the quality of your actions even when no one else will know.

"T" stands for teamwork. Teamwork is service before self even when no one else will know.

"E" stands for excellence. Excellence in all we do even when no one else will know.

"G" stands for giving. Giving 110 percent even when no one else will know.

"R" stands for respect. Respect each other even when no one else will know.

"I" stands for intelligence. Be intelligent by knowing your job better than anyone, even when no one else will know.

"T" stands for true. Be true to the best that's in you even when no one else will know.

And "Y" stands for you. You and I can make a difference even when no one else will know.

What do all of these have in common?  If you said that all of them say that no one will ever know whether you did the right or the wrong thing then you are correct.  The main thing about integrity is that no one ever knows and it's almost impossible to find out whether or not you have any.

Bo Pelini thinks K-State fans are:
a). Good fans
b). Very classy people

I expect they’ll treat our football team the right way.

Unlike Pelini, I expect K-State fans will treat Nebraska fans with respect regardless of the fact that you can get away with pushing them down the stadium steps on their way back from the concessions stands at halftime.
