I have had fun every time I went to Lawrence for a game. If Dooley does his rough ridin' job and gets me cheapo tix, I'll be there....he's in basketball mode now , though.

I used to go often. That was when we would win by 40 and made their QB cry. It was pretty fun. Last time we went, Freemaw had something like 4 Ints and we got raked. Not fun.

I would say a trip this year has a good possibility of being pretty fun.

My issue is that I hate Lawrence. I like the bar area, but the rest of the town sucks balls, imo.

Their stadium is rough ridin' horrible.

Agree with "go if you can". I made it in 94, 96, 98, 00, 02, and 06. I think this had a good chance to be like the 96 game. Only hopefully no one kicks my tailgate after we win.

Before you spend any $$, you should probably check your local gas station or grocery store. KU hands out thousands of free tix to pretty much every business within 100 miles of Lawrence.

i was at the kans-new mex st game and the youth ticket had youth printed on the ticket in big lettering. i dont think the ticket takers check it or care though. Wouldn't try it if you clearly look 50+yrs old but i'm guessing the avg college student could get in with no real issue--i got in fine with one. Would still beware buying a "youth" ticket at full price in case they decide to crack down for this game.
