Turner Gill: 1-0 when team scores 42 points in 4th quarter.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I love how Turner basically just stole a year from Hawkins' contract (no racist).

Can you imagine what it will  be like when he gets his own elite recruits in there?

In case you hadn't noticed Hawk wasn't going to be around for that last year anyways. But the point is valid; how does it feel to get somebody fired, Turner?

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

Could someone please darken this one up  :driving: a la the CK one? To me it would symbolize Turner "turning" the corner.

Tyler Patmon tells the haters to STFU!

Quote
"That guy right there, he's one of the greatest coaches I've ever been around," defensive back Tyler Patmon said. "He's always supportive, always positive. It feels great to get this win for him."

What a win. Reminds me of Snyd's come from behind victories back in the D.O.D. vs. the likes of Iowa State & Oklahoma State. They most definitely caught, threw, tackled & kicked when it mattered the most. The distinct recipe for success.

Rumblings that they changed things up in Lawrence.

It's no longer "Block, Tackle, Catch, and Throw", it's now "Block, Tackle, Throw, and Catch".

A minor change, but it makes all of the difference.

Gill is clearly a master of making the adjustments necessary to right the ship.  I expect at least 10 wins from the Mighty Jayhawks next year.

Agreed.  If they would just move the blocking part to just before the throwing and catching parts, they may just have a decent team on their hands.

I don't know how anyone could list to TGs show and gain any confidence in him as a coach. I know public speaking isn't a pre-requisite for being a football coach, but they guy can barely string together coherent sentences or thoughts. All it does is add to the perception he is in over his head and doesn't have the intelligence to be a head coach. He really can't articulate any sort of intelligent thought. He just repeats the same phrases and words over and over.

Contrast that with Reggie Mitchell who I heard on the radio this week. He was well-spoken, articulate, and made some really intelligent points about the program.

I recognize radio interviews aren't the benchmark for coaching ability, but it really makes you wonder if TG is intelligent enough to be a head coach.

Ron Prince was articulate.  That helped us quite a bit.
