George Pierson, a backup punter at Kansas State, was arrested early Friday and cited with obstructing the legal process.

Lt. Herb Crosby of the Riley County Police Department said Pierson was arrested following a verbal confrontation with another subject near the Burger King in Manhattan's Aggieville bar district at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Pierson was asked to leave but "continued to interrupt and interfere" with officers on the scene, Crosby said. He was arrested and later released on $750 bond.

Pierson, a senior, has punted once this season for 41 yards.

I'd feel a lot better if it weren't just the backup punter, but it's still a baby step in the right direction.

We used to do that from the roof of Aggie Station over to where military guys and townies would park their little loud exhaust cars by that car wash thing that I don't think is there anymore.
