One of my old Co-Workers worked at McCormicks and Smidt (sp) and said he made 60k working full time before he got a degree.

He did owe a ton of money to the IRS in back taxes for tips tho :whistle1:

Nice! I quit 610 and bartended/served at Barleys before moving onto higher education. I was making 1/3 more at Barleys than I was at Entercom.  :frown:

The last time I was at Mae's for Trivia, the server was so bad that myself, specklefar, MSLH and PurpleBear had to make a can pyramid before she realized we were ready for another round.  I'm not a service snob, but jesus christ. An hour between checking in on a trivia night that really wasn't very busy and had multiple servers working.

servers in CA base hourly wage is +$8/hr but that's not the point.  and the discussion isn't one of short term money.
