My favorite day in the middle school cafeteria was when they had chili and served it with a big cinnamon roll.  I'd rip up the cinnamon roll and put it in the chili like it was croutons.   :lick:

Chili day was always fantastic. I ate like a king.

Pizza day wasn't too shabby either.

Where did you get that overnight bag?

I can't recall.

I do remember feeling all  when the teacher would ask every morning who had a "hot lunch" and who had a "cold lunch." Never had a cold lunch, GMAFB.

I remember mom getting mad for me taking an "extra milk" every day.  Also remember scratching the H off the "half pint" to make it say "alf pint", LOL, ALF!!!

Middle school, mom would get mad for me never giving the lunch people the check to replenish my lunch account.  They would still give me lunch anyways, even after being in the red for like, weeks at a time.

Did you guys go to school in Kansas where the food was delicious?  The food in NM was disgusting...cold lunch only.  Or, ala carte.  Bag o chips, ding dong, and a snapple cause I was all  in middle school.

And Ham and Cheese roll-up day was the best.

Sadly, they don't exist anymore.  wifey is a teach and said that new regs on nutrition have changed things.  Poor little bastards will never know now.

Really liked burrito day too.

we had an open lunch policy so you could go home for lunch if you were able to, or even more elite, you could go to the Dairy Queen right across the street! That was back when the Dairy Queen in my town had two arcade games in it as well.

Was so jealous of schools with this type of lunch.  I would have fought you in Middle School.

Remember the times you'd have to go to the doctor or dentist or something in the morning and get back a lunchtime?  And mom would stop at McDonalds or something for you.  You'd be eating your elite fast food lunch while all of the other suckers are eating mixed vegetables and chicked fried steak.
