This is why the Stanbot has no credibility . . .
« on: September 28, 2010, 05:20:37 PM »
I think the biggest heart was shown by LHC Bill Snyder, keeping his mind straight – but we’re accustomed to that. … This coaching staff had it totally under control.”

From KC Confidential

I hear people say . . . oh but you see Dax, when Stan is on 810 during the week he's a lot more objective about K-State.

I've heard the Stanbot on 810 many times, and yeah, he is a little more objective on there.   But then on gameday he starts spewing this stuff over and over, oh but you see Dax Stan is a great X's and O's guy.

That's fine, lots of guys can be great X's and O's guys without constantly spewing forth the party line.

Also, of his many horrid performances.   Last Saturday may have been Wyatt's worst.   He was simply awful.

IMHO, 'bot will say pretty much anything to keep his job... what else would Mr Squeeky clean, part my hair on the right say? It would be appreciated by all if he'd pull his stones out and say what's on his mind, but I'm sure ol' Stanbot knows which side of his bread is buttered AND who is weilding the butter knife.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I was forced to listen to the first three quarters in my auto with the wife,.  I could not for the life of me tell WTF was going on, and even my wife was confused, Wyatt never tells you the spot on the field untill it's an afterthought, he never gets the players involved right and it goes on and on.  If it weren't for Weber nothing would be right, so I do give Stan cred for keeping Wyatt straight, and out of the jug till after the game. :drink:

He's the color guy for the Wildcats, WTF do you think he's going to say?  This is like complaining about the Press Secretary standing up for the President too much.  The only person I've ever heard who doesn't do this is Len Dawson.  And that's because it's f*cking Len Dawson.

I get it, the other color guys perpetually suck dick, so Stan should as well??   I don't care if he learns towards K-State, that is going to be expected.  But he always pulls out complete Bull$hit like that . . . I mean really Stan, the coaching staff had it all under control??  The only thing that the coaching staff had under control was the opportunity to win the game . . . when by shear blind luck CFU handed K-State the opportunity on a silver platter.

:pbj: Finally someone calls out Stan on his complete lack of credibility. I get so pissed that he's the only source of K-State news out there and he's always pumping sunshine.

Aside from being a huge homer, which I can forgive, 'Bot's big problem is that his "analysis" is too specific. Most of the time he breaks things down so far that he misses the big picture...also, he might not know what he's talking about most of the time.

Tard? From someone questioning the credibility of the KSU color analyst? Can't wait for your insight on the credibility of lobbyists on the politics board.  :ohno:

You could just get your ass on  :AA: and go to the games so you don't have to listen to him.

Stanbot is bad, but Wyatt has my eternal  :curse:

Wyatt's call on the Carsy's TD run to ice the game was about as bad as it gets.  "Coffman keeps it...wait...wait...wait... touchdown wildcats!"

Pretty much have no idea what is going on if you have radio only.

yeah, I don't remember which game I was listening to, but it was like 3rd and 6 or something.  "Coffman under center, hands it off to Thomas who goes off tackle to the right and gets taken down by 3 defenders." (Insert some irrelevant story while I'm trying to figure out if he even gained a yard)."

Wyatt es muy terrible!

I had a dream the other night the Greg Sharpe wanted nothing to do w/ the big 10 and that ADJC brought him back to emawland.

There's no really excuse for Wyatt being as bas as he is.

His play call on the touchdown to Quarles is a prime example:

Wyatt starts the sequence by not addressing the down, distance, field position OR the football formation with the personnel on the field.  (This is typical but it is extremely aggravating)

Then says, "The ball is snapped, Coffman drops back to pass, he has his man at the 30, at the 10, touchdown Wildcats.  Touchdown Aubrey Quarles".  Absurd, a fifty yard play and virtually no depiction whatsoever as to what actually transpired outside of the QB apparently throwing a pass, an unnamed receiver catching it for a touchdown.

At the end of the day, I think it just really boils down to the fact that Wyatt really isn't a football guy.  He doesn't grasp the intricacies of the formations and I don't believe he studies our personnel well enough to identify our players as the game is unfolding.  As annoying as Holthus can be and Harlan before him, these guys are simply at another level in terms of their grasp of the game and their ability to verbally encapsulate the in game action from sequence to sequence.

Any way you cut it, Wyatt is fracking brutal.
Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Honestly i never really pay attention. But i did catch part of the Chiefs game Sunday, and Mitch was damn good at describing what we going on, probably even too much detail. Some people have the gift, others don't.

You can't just fire a guy can you? I mean, GPC would go nuts, im guessing.

Wyatt doesn't even work for the university, so nobody from KSU would fire him anyway.

the 07 game in stillwater was what officially did it for me. wyatt was horrendous. there were times i wasn't even sure who had the rough ridin' ball. he sounded like he had a stroke on the last drive.
