I'd forgotten how nice the vistas of the Smoky Hills are in that region.Speaking of K-140, I grew up in south Salina. I’ve been on old 40 ~500 times in my life. I always thought it went straight west out of Salina. I just recently learned by looking at a map that Brookville was further south than me the whole time. I had a visual what the county looked like & when I noticed it, it blew my mind.

How do they know all the chickens were from the same family?
Brookville Hotel/Restaurant has the best family chicken dinner I ever tasted. It went downhill when they built a new one north of Abilene. I think it is closed now and we may never get to enjoy the best family chicken dinner in Kansas.

Just remembered I went to a place called Blue Sky Brewery last year and had some decent pizza and slammed a few of their pints. No idea what the hell I was doing in Salina in the first place. What's the local consensus on that place?
