he's not as bad as 98% of the fans tried to make him out to be and still to some extent want him to be. you'd have to be in pretty big denial to not admit that. kstate fans also over value the qb position more than any other group of fans that i've ever come across. probably in the world.

Yes.

Carson is bad, but I'd still take him over Meier, Webb, or Evridge, all incredible Snyder quarterback losers that would rather piss golden, ropy, braids of urine down their legs than put their team on their shoulders and instrument a drive to win a meaningful game at any point in their shitty careers.

Dude is clutch when it counts and that's all that matters to me at this point.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Had he not finished with somewhat of a flourish, I was ready to mark Queso Cheese down as the worst QB I have ever seen playing for K-State.  But as has been stated numerous times, it's not his fault.  The blame lies squarely on WRSOAT . . . if it weren't for WRSOAT Carsy wouldn't do anything but carry around a clipboard and write down plays.

adam helm, grant gregory, AE, jason smargiaso, etc, etc, etc. much not have watched a lot of football...

Jason Smargeso . . . was 8 times the athlete Carsy Coffman could have ever dreamed of being.  It was all in his head.  The rest all had intangibles that Carsy doesn't have.   Adam Helm only played because of Snyder head games or injury . . . let me know when you find where Adam Helm started 4 straight games and was named the starter prior to the first game of the season.   In addition, Helm saved our asses at Iowa State.    But Carsy's first half yesterday was one of the worst I've ever seen from any QB at K-State.    But we won . . . as absurd as it is, and I'll take it.

I saw guys like Randy Williams, and Todd Elder start football games at QB for K-State.

I responded with many worse qbs (including smargiasso and you then respond with how athletic smargiasso was. ummm, ok. i'll retract my carson is better than him statement when qbs start competing in the pentathalon for touchdowns. lol dax.

This is a real question, not rhetorical...would we be better with Carsy or 1992 Smargiasso on this team?

Carson Coffman remembers things being different when he played quarterback for Kansas State.

Sure, friends advised him to search for a new start after they watched him spend two seasons as a backup and then lose control of the starting job as a junior. But he blocked out those voices.

“People told me to transfer, but I felt like if I kept working hard, the cream would rise to the top and I would get my opportunity,” said Coffman.

Carson led a pretty potent offense, really. The defense on that 2010 team was really bad.

Are you talking about the team that didn't score a touchdown on UCF until the fourth quarter?

Or the team that managed 17 against a KU squawk squad that would lose their last 7 games?

No, I was talking about the 2010 team that beat the squawks 59-7 actually.

I want to meet PW so badly. I would take him out to lunch and just pick his brain. Actually I feel like maybe we should instead hike to the top of a mountain and then I would pick his brain.
