This "argument" is easily resolved.

Ask any KU fan who understands the reality of college basketball whether it would be better or worse for in-game atmosphere and "home court advantage" to nearly double the KU student tickets and move the students from the inverted triangle shaped section to seats along the floor on one side of the court, or stay the same.

Guess what they'll say?

Combine that with KU's regular stable of talent you have a home court that would be amazing.

This is King's point.  He's talking about the atmosphere provided by the venue and fans....it's freaking hell on earth in there when the entire side of the OOD is full of screaming angry KSU students.  Like Duke, but with about 10X the students.

One writer.

True, but it is funny how one writer can get phog crowd in such a frenzy over being "disrespected".

Eh, its a discussion starter. Isn't that what writers, especially columnists, do? Start topics? I wonder how many extra hits he got by saying that. Not saying that he just said it for the hits, but message boards are going to run with just about anything posted on the internet.

We lost to OSU and ISU at home last year.  this is pretty stupid.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

not the atmosphere's fault.  it isn't out there on the court.

But isn't that what a home court advantage does? Give the home team a boost in confidence and swagger while intimidating the opposing team? How bad did the team play that the Big 12's "best home court advantage" wasn't able to deliver the W?

Guys, I'm not gonna lie, I'm happy as hell that everyone in the country has finally realized that we have the best home court advantage in the country.  Shocked it took this long but well deserved nevertheless.

I showed this article to the UKjr fans at work, explained how it only took us two years to have a better atmosphere than the Phog.   They are all in a frenzy.  It's amazing.

Its really nobodies fault that once Bramlage became the Octagon of Doom that it became one of the best basketball arena's in America.  It just happened.

bramlage has always been the best place to play in the big12. it just took a good team to bring the medias attention to it and want write articles about it. same OOD, more media attention. people care about kstate a lot now and the media is going to write articles and things that people care about so that they can increase their page hits and sell subscriptions, etc. nothing new to see here.
