Missed this thread the first time around. We named our cat Hermione. My wife just suggested that she go to the midnight showing as Hermione with Hermione and sneak the cat in. Need to get, like, a cat wand or something

Ha!  That's amazing.  My friend and I dressed up like Hermione when we went to get the 7th book.    I would totally dress up like her again and go to the midnight showing if Joker would let me.

Well written. Read LOTR in junior high just to say I did it; was more of a chore than a joy. Come to think of it, so were the LOTR movies. Felt exhausted coming out of those things.

The Incredible Hulk roller coaster is at that park iirc.  It is amazing. 

I agree with this 200%. Just one year ago I was riding the Hulk over and over and over with a little bit of the Spiderman 3D ride thrown in for a change of pace.

Lol.  He doesn't want to battle it out with everyone at the midnight showing.  We're gonna go later on...but if he thinks that will deter me from dressing up, he's wrong!  I'm STILL going to dress like Hermione, whether he likes it or not!

The ending was exactly what I expected it to be.  Loved every minute of that movie.

I thought the movie was kinda meh.  Not much really happened except the destruction of one horcrux.  Looking forward to the last one...although I think the movies have just gotten progressively worst.

Sucks that they can't get very detailed in the movies, but if they did it would make them 7 hrs long. 


Overall I thought HPDH part 1 was pretty good and the pace of the movie was expected.  I expect part 2 to be completely opposite.

For any and all who have not read the series I strongly recommend you do.  I read the books after watching the movies and still enjoyed them.  The details, character development, and history you get makes reading 7 books worthwhile.
