Never said that borrowing the money was dumb and never said there was anything wrong with boosters donating money.    But there was a reason why Wefald then laid down the law that the athletic department would never again be allowed to borrow money from the Foundation under his watch, but then again, this is all way over your little King of all Powertards head.

And of course you would be responding like you are . . . you just can't handle any criticism of K-State, even when there isn't any.

You're just that f_cking stupid.

In addition, as someone who follows the business of college football.   Temple didn't go out and borrow $4 million dollars (a huge amount of money in 1989-1990 for any athletic department to spend) from the Temple Foundation to pay assistant coaches, and they certainly don't have a multi-multi millionaire Rancher/ADM board member and a multi-multi millionaire grain mill operator stepping up with millions more dollars just a couple of years later.

So, what was your point in including this financial info then?

The MAC is not the Big 8/12, plain and simple.  I bet you $100 this coach wouldn't come dominate the Big 12 like you think dax.

Yeah, I'd probably lash out like that too, if I was you.

Yeah, I could see how being the creamy filling in a NDSU/USM sandwich could make you feel that way.

The point is .  . . Al Golden is doing a great job in the face of all odds and not getting anything that resembles the "bend over backwards and then some" financial backing that Snyder got.   After that, the stories are mutually exclusive on every level.  Just trying put it in a perspective that your dumbass little powerespect mind could attempt to comprehend.

Where are you pulling all of this hyperbole and embellishment out of  . . . is there a book or something that you reference??

Golden is getting 1.2 per year.  Gonna go out on a limb and say thats more than Snyder was making in his 5th year.  And the fact that you are so mad that you're cursing like crazy really makes me happy.   :pbj:

I think calling him the GREATEST coach of all time is where the hyperbole started.

Really,  you're comparing 1994 college football economics to 2010 college football economics??  Really??

Chin . . . re-read this entire thread and tell me where I called Al Golden the greatest coach of all time.   Good Luck.

Maybe so . . .

Again, "Might" means it could POSSIBLY happen.   You've made this way harder than it should have been because you thought I was some how dissing LHC Bill Snyder.

On your part   on every level.

OK dax lets see you put your money where your mouth is: I bet you 100 American dollars that Temple will NOT win 10+ games this year and will NOT make a BCS game in the next 15 years.

What Frank Beamer has done at Va Tech is every bit as impressive as what Old Balls did at K-State.

There are a lot of similarities, but I disagree.  It's easier to recruit to Blacksburg VA than MHK, and KSU was bar none the worst major conference program in the nation when Snyder took over.

Va Tech wasn't even in a BCS conference when Beamer took over.

Well, duh.  The BCS didn't exist back then.  ;)

You know what I meant, though.  Va Tech was an independent when Beamer took over.

I "might" give a crap about Temple. I don't give a crap about Virginia Tech. This thread blows.

Sure, why not.   But LOL . . . by saying "put your money where your mouth is", that implies that I have stated that what is going on at Temple WILL BE called the greatest coaching job of all time.   Your statement also implies that I have said that Temple will win a specific amount of games, and that Temple WILL go to a BCS bowl in a specific period of time.    I have said none of those things.   But I'll take the bet anyway.  WTH.

Pexikan . . . than don't read the thread, it's not that f_cking hard.
