Yes, they both have similar "change the game" philosophies on how things are done.  But, Ron is a piece of crap.  Turner is a genuinely good guy.  These two things cannot be stated enough.  While they both have weird names for the H-Back and move players to absurd positions the similarities stop when you get to them as human beings.  I mean, Turner completely changed the culture of the program that the Big 12 coach of the year and Orange Bowl winning coach established and Ron did the same for K-State with everything Bill had ingrained, but Ron is a doucher and Turner is a guy I would help move his furniture if he asked.  Turner beat Georgia Tech who was ranked in the top 15 for anyone who chooses to overlook that.  Ron never beat Georgia Tech.  That's a fact.

Has anyone even given consideration to the culture having to change before the success comes?  You cannot move your best players at any given position to a new spot and expect to have instant results.  Have any of you moved your undersized LB to DE?  How about your best RB to LB and not even playing him?  You CAN get instant results from the fanbase though.  You can have a class for the community, have the fans take an oath, have the team appear for clean up projects, etc.  The culture can change, and the team will follow.  I hate you people.

This cannot be overstated!  Turner is changing an almost unspeakable culture of abuse and personal destruction.  And he's doing it the right way.  Positiviry doesn't come overnight and neither do the wins.  Big difference was Ron never had this mountain to climb.

IMO, the only similarities are that they're both black, Turner being who he is makes him totally opposite. I understand your football references, but since Ron was so devoid of substance and class; I whole-heartedly agree comparing them is worthless.
