I hear a lot of bad things about them, but they were actually the only landlord I've ever had in Manhattan who gave me a full refund on my deposit.

One time my washer stopped working, though, and it took them nearly 2 weeks to get somebody over to fix it.

Weigal isn't bad.  They are horrid at a lot of things, but they had a decent sign-up deal and they returned a large chunk of my deposit despite the fact that there was a bleach stain approx 1 ft in diameter in the carpet.

Nothing but amazing things to say about how they run their apartment complexes.

APM gave me a free month's rent to paint the inside of the house. I was like

There 's a special spot in a dark n fiery corner of hell for Alliance employees.  Spent 3 months w/ no power in 1/2 of my basement, 12 months w/ a mold infested bathroom, and 6 months w/ an entire stairway void of walls when I rented from them.  Oh and obvi no deposit back.

Has this been ongoing for a few years or is this a new apartment complex. I seem to remember you dropping eff repeatedly when talking to a landlord before covering a game a couple years ago.

APM is one of the largest property managers in Manhattan. They have several houses and small apartment complexes all across town. I only had minor problems with them, but almost everyone I know who has rented from them has some type of horror story.

Correction, out of the 1500 total deposit each of the 5 roomates got like 50 bucks.

I was addressing where Rake was living a few years ago and if this was a new landlord/tenant problem. I know all too well how much rental companies in Manhattan suck balls.

Woah, who are you. 

It is true, I had a bit of a "spat" with a previous rental company called Emerald Property Management a few years back. The CEO of that fine enterprise tried to hit me up for cleaning and painting charges that were completely made up. When I asked her to produce an invoice, she typed one up on Microsoft Word and the letterhead read, "Superior Painting & Cleaning." This fake company was located on Stag [sic] Hill Road, according to the letterhead, and there was no phone number listed. Seemed odd.

After a bit of research, I found out that the address at Stagg Hill Road belonged to ... Emerald's secretary.

She felt dumb once confronted. Then she just started screaming at me.

You East Coasters sure do cause all sorts of problems for local companies. They're used to dealing with hayseeds, not elite and sophisticated individuals.
