Ahh yes you are correct well we handled Amarillo in Topeka easily also, and they played at Pepsi Ice around 135th and Quivera. They practice there also when there is no ice available in Topeka, as the Expo is a Multi Purpose venue we do not have permanent ice. Also this is the dude I was referring to from Corpus Christi

Damn, that kinda sucks that they don't have a permanent place to play. The Thunders plays @ IBA, but I guess they just work the schedule around the concerts and stuff. They did play their preseason games @ the Wichita Ice Center though.

There is a "campaign" to get a multi rink building built in Topeka but everytime the city commits to it they back out before a vote takes place.

How many people go to those games? Our Ice Center only holds like 1000 spectators, so it's not exactly usable for actual games. Guess they had like 900 at the preseason games. Hell, they sold out the first few games they played at IBA, but the gave away an assload of tickets. Think the first game was actually free, you just had to get tickets ahead of time or wait in line forever at the gate before the game...

Last year there was 7,777 at a game that broke the league attendance record but usually low 2,000's

Yeah, the Thunder really struggled with attendance prior to the move to IBA. They have'nt been worth a crap in years and attendance just gradually died off. I think the newness of the arena will keep attendance up for a while but we really need to start winning more games soon. Back when they were good, they routinely filled the coliseum pretty well with a very active crowd, it would be glorious to see that kind of team in the new digs...

Runners win 6-3 over the hated St. Louis Bandits. The Roadrunners had 2 shorties in the 3rd. I also saw a guy get hit in the head with a puck, he was bleeding pretty good.

Im assuming there would be a new Central Division.
