The Topeka Roadrunners kicked off the season with a win over the Alexandria Blizzard, 6-4 at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN. As most of you dedicated Roadrunner fans know, the Topeka squad won the NAHL showcase 2 seasons ago.

The 'Runners will play the Motor City Metal Jackets today at 1:30 PM.

GOOD NEWS -

Topeka is hosting the 2011 Robertson Cup Championship. What does this mean for us Roadrunner fans?

Well, Topeka could lose all of their regular season games and still compete in the championship tournament. The host site always gets an automatic entry in to the Robertson cup championship tournament.

WTF happened to Topeka's CHL team, the Scarecrows? I always though that was a sweet name and their unis were pretty BA as well.

IIRC they went USHL for one year and then folded.
