Quote
The Big 12 title win was one of historical proportions, but the Baytown, Texas, product hedges as to whether that game was K-State's best of the year.

"We went to Nebraska and whipped up on them pretty good earlier in the year," Roberson said of a 38-9 victory over the No. 18 Cornhuskers, when he passed for 313 yards and rushed for 90, accounting for three touchdowns.

In a story that now can be told, Roberson played the second half of the 2003 season with a rotator cuff injury that was later diagnoses as being torn 75 to 80 percent off the bone.

Surgery following the Fiesta Bowl, which all but ended his NFL draft hopes, so he opted for a career in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes, first as a quarterback and finally as a receiver.

"I never did recover from the surgery, and I ended up having to quit so I could maybe move my arm when I was 50," said Roberson. "As it turned out, continuing to play at K-State really damaged it, but I'd do it over again. I loved the sport, but it was tearing up my body."

 :surprised:

Roberson lives in Houston where he works as a safety process engineer for Sercel Incorporated, which manufactures cables used by companies like British Petroleum in finding off-shore oil.

I still remember the bumping-shoving match before that Nubbs game.  Aside from NU being a MCMW kind of program, Jamal Lord was a notable punk.

Ell played every snap in that game bro.

Ell is probably in my top 3 EMAW footballers of all time.  He had the "we're good, we know it, and we don't take no crap " attitude we've lacked ever since he left.  I'll never forger the 90 yard run against nebraska or the crazy touchdowns he had in road games at OU and UT.  Also the 2002 Holiday bowl.  So many good Ell memories..........

Has there been any thought to having Ell attempt a Genghis Khan-style breeding campaign?  Would help increase the overall EMAW factor and might eventually get us a QB who doesn't make me  :curse:

Remember when Snyds screwed ELL over for the Fiesta Bowl incident?  Taking his scholarship and all that after letting him play in the last game?  Remember how Ell is the last good QB that Snyds has gotten to suit up?  Maybe karma, is loling at Bill for throwing his elite duel threat QB under the bus by not allowing him anymore, ever.  I mean Ron rough ridin' Prince stole Freeman from Nebraska via text message.

Will never forgive old balls for this, he can win 49 national championships and he'll still be a eff face to me for this.  People make OB out to be a moral compass when he took a scholarship from a guy ready to graduate simply because some old crackers got pissed that brothas ran a train on a white princess.  eff old balls and eff his legion of racist retards.

Actually I think that article is wrong.  Pretty sure Ell came back in after the first or second offensive series.  However, it was not the entire 1st quarter.
